Q. Will you help me with my gate or railing design ideas?
A. Yes, we can utilize Autocad to convert a picture or sketch to a working drawing based on your site measurements and design requirements.
Q. Will ACI Metal Works install my gate?
A. Yes, we install gates throughout Western Washington. Typical installations cost approximately $250, but can vary based on your location and other factors.
Q. Can I install your gates myself?
A. Yes, with basic construction knowledge, some supplies and tools as outlined in our instruction guide, a homeowner can install our gates without hiring a contractor.
Q. Can I attach an automatic opener to my gate?
A. Yes. We've designed our gates for manual operation when you purchase the Locinox gate lock, but you can purchase a gate without the lock and buy any available automatic opener to use with our gates. A great online resource for openers can be found at www.kingmetals.com. Look under access controls and then swing gate operators. We can also purchase an install an opener for you based on your requirements.
Q. Do you offer custom gates, or make modificaitons to your existing products?
A. Yes. Give us a call, email or fax your idea and we will provide you a quote. If we can't do it, we'll tell you if we know a contractor who can.
Q. Do you repair broken gates and railing?
A. Yes, we can remove, repair, re-coat and replace your old gates and railing.
Q. How and where do you ship product?
A. LTL (less than truckload) for gate kits and UPS ground for all other products. We only ship gate kits to the US (includes Alsaska and Hawaii) and Canada.
Q. What is your lead-time on gates?
A. Gates are made to order, so from time of order to time of delivery is approx. 2 1/2 weeks. Other products are approx. 1 1/2 weeks from order to delivery.
Q. Is my credit card charged at the time of my order?
A. No, its actually charged when your order ships. There is a pre-authorization (a place holder for the order amount) that will show up on your card that ensures funds will be available when the order is shipped. If your order is canceled prior to shipping that pre-authorization is canceled as well.
Q. Will you sell an uncoated gate?
A. Yes, contact us for a quote.
Q. Do you warranty your product?
A. We warranty the construction of our products against weld failure under normal use. There is no warranty when our products are abused due to collisions with heavy objects and or acts of nature.
Q. I have a product idea that I'd like help with, but I don't want anyone to steal it. How do I deal with that?
A. Relative to our assistance with your idea, we have a non-disclosure agreement we can generate prior to working on your project.
Q. I recently saw a unique item that I'd like you to consider making, but I am concerned about what it might cost.
A. Contact us, and if we believe that we can build it to a high quality standard, we'll provide you a free quote.
